Students at ONW who were apart of Raven Flight Corps, otherwise known as RFC, approached coach Branstrom asking him if he would would have any interest of being apart of whats now known as the "miracle shot." They had persuaded him with Final Four tickets, saying they would he his if he actually made the shot. Coach Branstrom agreed to the event, not expecting much to come out of it. The students had planned on blindfolding Branstrom, spinning him around, and then cheer like he made the shot, even if he didn't. The students weren't expecting what was about to happen next.

Miracle Shot
What not many students of Olathe Northwest know is that 5 years ago girls basketball coach, Joel Branstrom, made a blindfolded, half-court shot that no one had expected him to make. This video is a recap of the event to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the shot.
Word from the Halls with Ryley and Brooke: Wrestling Edition
Ryley and I were back at it the past week, roaming the halls of Olathe Northwest, ambushing the student body over hard questions of the not so well known sport of wrestling. The questions had consisted of asking about how many points a certain wrestling move can get you, when wrestling was "invented", and we had even asked some students to show us what a double-leg move was.
This episode had gotten a lot of praise throughout the student body and from some of the faculty of ONW. It's pretty cool how people know what's going on when Ryley and I walk through the halls with a camera. We get told how awesome our videos are and a lot of students specifically ask to be interviewed. I even have some friends who will text me a few hours in advance, almost making sure they get an "appointment" to get interviewed. Making these videos are the highlight of my week. They're so fun and they never fail to make me laugh.
